Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has called Black Stars manager Otto Addo to remember three local players for Ghana's lineup for the last 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The players - Razak Simpson, Isaac Afful, and Emmanuel Antwi - are in Ghana's squad for the upcoming matches against Angola and Niger.
Local players frequently get limited playing time in the national team, yet Manso contends that with Ghana's low 10% possibility qualifying, now is the ideal time to offer these players a chance.
In a interview with Asempa FM, Manso said, "The local players invited by Otto Addo ought to be given the opportunity to play against Angola and Niger."
"Our chance of qualifying for AFCON are around 10%, so I think the local players in the squad merit a chance to prove their abilities," he made sense of.
Manso likewise believe that exhibiting local talent on the national team would help the Ghana Premier League and move different players to hold back nothing Stars.
"It would be advantageous for the Ghana Premier League and spur different players to work harder," he added.
The Black Stars will make a trip to Luanda today for their match against Angola on Friday, November 15, at Estádio 11 de Novembro. They'll then get back to Accra to have Niger on Monday, November 18, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
