Robert Klah, who is the Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse Productions Ltd, has commented on the issues some attendees experienced with ticketing during the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Ghanaian content creator Felicia Osei expressed her frustration on social media after being refused entry to the auditorium because she was informed at the checkpoint that her ticket had already been used.
When questioned about whether they had encountered similar issues, Robert Klah responded, “During our evaluation session, we gathered that kind of feedback. That’s why I’m sharing these different scenarios, as there were individuals who arrived and were handing out their tickets.”
In an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, Robert described how each time a ticket is scanned, a corresponding face is captured. This means that if someone else attempts to use the same ticket, they will certainly be denied entry to the venue.
Robert Klah wrapped up by expressing his apologies to Felicia Osei for the unfortunate experience she faced and assured that the organizers would consult with their vendors to find out what went wrong.
“I apologize to her for any embarrassment she may have experienced, but there are three possibilities at play. We need to assess and comprehend what it is so that we can clearly determine how to proceed without encountering any problems. Therefore, I extend my apologies to her if she felt any humiliation, but these are the realities we are facing—it could be any of the three possibilities I mentioned,” he said.
The company is dedicated to looking into the situation and enhancing their procedures to avoid similar problems in the future.
