Highlife performer, Kofi Nti has revealed that American film maker, Tyler Perry has settled the copyright infringement case after he use the Ghanaian artiste's song without authorization.
Kofi Nti told Onua television in a interview that he figured out how to get a significant measure of cash from Tyler Perry after his legal counselors in UK connected and haggled with the film maker.
"I did that melody with Ofori Amponsah. We have a legal counselor in UK , he reached the team so discussions and everything worked out in a good way. Thus, we have tackled the issue, a minimal expenditure was involved," he said.
It tends to be reviewed that the highlife artiste raised issues about copyright infringement by Tyler Perry for use his song, "Odo Nwom" which highlighted Ofori Amponsah in an in the background video of Tyler Perry's famous series, Sistas.
The video became a web sensation via social media starting discussions about a potential copyright infringement. Nonetheless, addressing Onua television, Kofi Nti says the matter has been settled.
'Odo Nwom' was delivered in 2004 by Kofi Nti, the song was remembered for his Rakia Odo Lastic collection.
