Over the weekend, at an Executive Committee meeting in Accra, Okraku was named CAF's second vice president.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe praised the GFA President on his promotion in an interview with Graphic Sports and asked him to put CAF's larger goals ahead of his own aspirations.
But he warned that straying from this course could endanger his advancement.
"I think Ghanaian soccer would benefit from this. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe said, "I think Kurt might even become the CAF President if he really works hard, like Kwasi Nyantakyi, who elevated Ghana's image to a very high level within CAF and FIFA circles."
"His ability to advance to the CAF seat and ultimately the FIFA level will depend on his integrity and diligence."

He underlined that Okraku's progress, and possibly even positions at the international level within FIFA, will depend heavily on his honesty and hard work.

Additionally, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe urged Okraku to use his new post to promote Ghanaian and African football interests while paving the way for more Ghanaians to hold senior positions within the continental organization.
In spite of his subsequent scandals, he reflected on the influence of former GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi, saying that he established a solid basis for Ghanaian football administrators on the African scene. Ghanaian style
"Kwasi Nyantakyi, my successor, would have had prominent roles both in Africa and internationally if he hadn't run into problems. He made a lasting impression at CAF, which opened the door for Kurt," he said.

Kwasi did a great job; he was knowledgeable about football. I can attest to his knowledge because I worked with him. His accomplishments helped Ghana advance, and Kurt is now reaping the rewards of that heritage.
In order to ensure that Okraku's influence affects football locally, continentally, and internationally, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, a fashion expert from Ghana, finished by recommending Okraku to lead with justice, honesty, and firmness.
"I hope Kurt does everything right, be fair and firm, and make sure football is played not just in Africa but all over the world," he remarked.
At the moment, Kurt Okraku is also the President of WAFU Zone B.
