Adams, however, holds a different opinion. Kurt Okraku's attempts to turn around Ghana's footballing fortunes have been praised by Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation.

Even though the Ghanaian football system has been difficult, Kurt Okraku has performed admirably. He has been able to make a lot of amends in all of these situations," he told Asempa FM.
Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the chairman of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), appointed Okraku's second vice president last weekend. The Ghanaian has long served as the leader of the West African Football Union Zone B.
