Mr. Baibhav Biswas, the head of Olam Agri in Ghana, just received a super cool award! He was given the CEO Leadership Excellence Award in the Agribusiness Food Sector at the 9th Ghana CEO Summit, which took place at the fancy Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
This award shows how great Mr. Biswas is at leading in the farming world. It also highlights all the amazing things he has done to help Ghana’s farming and food industry grow.
Thanks to his leadership, Olam Agri has become a trusted partner in farming, focusing on making sure everyone has enough food, coming up with new ideas, and growing in a way that’s good for the planet.
The Ghana CEO Excellence Awards are organized by the CEO Network of Ghana. This event celebrates awesome leaders and their achievements in different fields during the annual Ghana CEO Summit.
This year, the theme was “Leading Ghana’s Economic Reset: Transforming Business and Governance for a Sustainable, Futuristic Economy.” The goal was to inspire business leaders to use technology to make a positive impact and help their businesses grow.
When Mr. Biswas received his award, he said, “I am honoured to be recognised among such esteemed industry leaders. We have worked extremely hard as a team, and today our dedication is being rewarded. This award is a testament to our respective commitment to drive impact in Ghana’s agricultural sector.” He also mentioned, “we will remain focused on empowering communities and delivering safe and quality products to consumers.”
Since Mr. Biswas took charge of Olam Agri in September 2024, he has led many exciting changes. One of the big things he did was help the company grow in Ghana’s rice and wheat markets.
Recently, Olam Agri did something really special by launching Ghana’s first pasta production plant! This means they can now make pasta right in Ghana, which shows how committed they are to investing in food processing and making things locally.
