Ohemaa Woyeje strongly disassociated Dr. Kwaku Oteng, the President and Founder of Angel Group of Companies, from the incident in a statement posted on her official Facebook page.
She denied allegations that Dr. Oteng was responsible for the thugs' presence on the radio station's property on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Ohemaa Woyeje asserts that the regrettable incident was caused by the CEO of Angel Broadcasting Services Limited, Mr. Vincent Opare, acting alone.
She stressed that Dr. Oteng was not involved in the violent acts committed against her and asked the public to avoid bringing his name into the dispute because he is incapable of committing such a crime.
She wrote in her post:
Please don't bring up Dr. Kwaku Oteng; he is innocent of the thuggery attack that occurred at the Angel FM Accra location yesterday. The wrongdoer is the CEO Vincent Opare and not the President & Founder of Angel Group Of Companies (Dr Kwaku Oteng). Please follow the advice and refrain from damaging his reputation. "Dr. Kwaku Oteng" will never engage in such illegal behavior."
This clarification comes after Dr. Kwaku Oteng faced a wave of backlash from a section of the public, with many wrongly accusing him of orchestrating the attack.
Following a widely shared video that purportedly showed Ohemaa Woyeje being denied entry to the Angel FM building by a group of people posing as security guards acting on directives from the station's CEO, the incident gained attention.
Ohemaa Woyeje further said that the security personnel tried to physically and verbally expel her from the building in addition to preventing her from entering.
The outspoken radio host reassured her fans and followers that she was physically okay despite the dramatic incident.
Additionally, she affirmed that the Ghana Police Service had been notified of the incident and that investigations were under progress.
