Abdul Baba Rahman is back with the Black Stars! He’s getting ready to play in the Unity Cup match against Nigeria this Wednesday at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.
Rahman hasn’t played for the national team in almost two years. His last game for Ghana was in September 2023. He took a break from the team after some fans were really tough on him following a match against the Central African Republic at Baba Yara Stadium.
Even though some players have already joined the team, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) hasn’t shared the official list of players for the Unity Cup in London yet.
Recently, a fun video went viral showing Rahman having dinner at the team hotel in London with his teammates, Lawrence Ati Zigi and Gideon Mensah. It looks like they’re having a great time together!
This season, Rahman has played in 23 matches for his club, PAOK. He has scored 5 goals and made 2 assists in league games. That’s pretty impressive!
If the Black Stars win against Nigeria, they will move on to the final on May 31, where they could face either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago. Let’s cheer them on!
