Johannesburg-born genre-bender CIZA is not only redefining Afrobeats and Amapiano but also setting new benchmarks in the music industry with the remarkable success of his latest single and video, "Isaka (6am)," featuring Jazzworx and Thukuthela.
Released in early May 2025, "Isaka (6am)" has rapidly gained traction, accumulating over 5.9 million streams on Spotify thus far, thereby establishing CIZA as one of Africa's most innovative young artists.
At just 23 years old, CIZA, whose full name is Nkululeko Nciza, has created a substantial digital presence, boasting over 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a cumulative total exceeding 10 million streams across his catalogue.
The track "Isaka" alone represents nearly 66% of his monthly streams, highlighting its exceptional popularity and viral success on platforms such as TikTok.
CIZA's social media following mirrors this upward trend, with 213K TikTok followers (reflecting a 901% year-over-year growth), 122K Instagram followers (a 22% year-over-year growth), and a global social media audience exceeding 375K.
His audience is predominantly based in Africa (93.1%), with significant followings in South Africa, Nigeria, and Tanzania. However, he is also gaining recognition internationally, particularly in markets such as the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and the United States. Notably, Johannesburg accounts for over 20% of his current Spotify listeners, with substantial support also coming from Pretoria, Durban, and Cape Town.
Playlist exposure has been a crucial factor in his streaming success, with CIZA's music featured across 353 Spotify playlists, reaching a total audience of 15.3 million, including current placements on 189 active playlists.
"Isaka" follows a series of successful releases, including "Bank Notification" featuring Madumane (1.5 million streams), "Carolina" featuring Major League Djz & Abidoza (570K streams), and "Adje" (270K streams).
CIZA is scheduled to arrive in Ghana on June 26th to commence his highly anticipated media tour.
