According to Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup is a valuable opportunity to evaluate new players.
The four-time African champion will take part in the four-country tournament in London this week, playing in the opening game against arch rival Nigeria.
The winner of this tie will play either Trinidad and Tobago or Jamaica in the final.
Ghanas 23-Man Squad in particular, several major players have been ruled out, including Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams.
spoke to the media before the tournament, highlighting how important it is to use the game as a test ground for new players before the FIFA World Cup qualifying game from Black Stars 2026 with Chad and Mali later this year.
"This tournament offers a great opportunity to evaluate and determine players who are ready to compete at the highest level, and we are especially grateful for this opportunity as they are qualified for the World Cup in September," he said.
"There are still many unanswered questions about certain players. We look forward to giving young and ambitious talent the opportunity to prove ourselves. At the end of this tournament, it will become even clearer."
Ghana will be held at GTECH Community Stadium in Brentford on Wednesday, May 28th.
