Here’s how things are shaping up at Bibiani GoldStars: CEO Akwasi Adu has outlined a bold recruitment strategy, aiming to bring in 11 new signings ahead of the club’s debut in the CAF Champions League. This move comes on the heels of their landmark 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title—an achievement that positions the club to represent Ghana at the continental level for the very first time.
The intent is clear: the club isn’t simply participating, but is looking to make a significant impact. To date, they’ve already secured Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng, Emmanuel Kontor, Barimah Baah, and Emmanuel Ankrah—early signals of an ambitious transfer window and a clear commitment to strengthening the squad.
In a recent interview with Akoma FM, Adu emphasized that all signings are being made in close consultation with head coach Frimpong Manso, who has identified critical positions that require reinforcement. The approach isn’t scattershot—each acquisition is targeted and intended to build internal competition as well as tactical depth. Specifically, Manso has requested eight experienced professionals, supplemented by several promising young talents.
Negotiations are ongoing to finalize the signing of Emmanuel Kojo Addy from PAC Academy. Adu confirmed, “We’re in advanced talks with PAC Academy to sign Emmanuel Kojo Addy. If all goes well, he should join us very soon.”
As part of their broader preparation for both the domestic and continental campaigns, GoldStars will participate in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament beginning August 1. This will serve as a valuable opportunity to integrate new players and test the team’s readiness ahead of a demanding season.
