Mohammed Abdul Salam, general director of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), highlighted the urgent need for the NLA to bolster its efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into its systems in response to the surprising global rise in mobile fraud and cyber crowds.
He gave this statement a vivoir at the edge of a seminar hosted by the African Lottery Association (ALA) in Abidjan, Abidjan.
The ALA seminar was officially opened by ALA Vice President and PMU General Director Mari and Doumbia Fassery, focusing on the role of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in the gaming sector.
The seminar included presentations to understand the connection between artificial intelligence and security, fraud detection, data analytics, operational intelligence, and lottery cybersecurity issues in the age of AI.
There was also a demonstration of experts using sophisticated AI tools to prevent mobile fraud in the lottery industry and a panel discussion with Dr. Coulibali Ibrahim, a legal counsel for European lottery and a digital law expert. WLA Executive Director Luca Esposito asked ALA members to take over the use of artificial intelligence as part of the lottery along with other technologies to master the tasks.
NLA general director Mohammed Abdul-Salam spoke about the bystanders at the seminar and learned about his commitment to fighting fraud. He explained that the seminar reveals and is burdened with the authority to strengthen efforts to combat the activities of con artists.
There are people who use our photos to betray people with big money. This is an alarming call to use these technical solutions to use mobile fraud and cybercrime issues, he said.
The ALA Seminar on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity provided ALA members, managers, supervisors and industrial interest groups with a joint platform to determine threats exposed to some of their experience from various jurisdictions.
