Asante Kotoko just bagged Seth Kwadwo from Bechem United yeah, it’s official. The guy’s only 23 and he’s already locked in for four years with the Porcupine Warriors. Clearly, they’re not messing around as the new season creeps up, especially with the CAF Confederation Cup on the horizon.
Straight from the man himself: “This is huge for me, honestly. Super grateful,” Kwadwo told Kotoko Media. Dude even checked in with Aziz and Francis before signing, just to get the lowdown. Apparently, they had nothing but hype for the club, which pretty much sealed the deal for him. “That gave me a lot of confidence. I’m buzzing to get started, and I just wanna give it everything to help the team win,” he said. Love the energy.
Kwadwo’s not the only fresh face, by the way. He’s joining a squad that’s getting stacked—Hubert Gyau, Aziz Haruna Dari, Zackaria Fuseini, Johnson Owusu Oppong, Francis Acquah… the shopping spree continues. Kotoko’s clearly building for both local bragging rights and some continental fireworks.
And if you’re wondering about Kwadwo’s resume—he’s no rookie. Guy’s racked up 72 league games for Bechem United, so he knows his way around top-flight football. Started out at Asokwa Deportivo in the lower leagues, too, where he built a rep for being tough as nails in midfield. Basically, Kotoko just got themselves a real fighter.
