Gary Lineker has said it is "the ideal opportunity" for one more moderator to take on facilitating Match of the Day, as the BBC hopes to do the football program "somewhat in an unexpected way" later on.
Recently, Lineker declared he will step down from the show toward the finish of this season following 25 years as host.
Another four-year bargain for the BBC to air Chief Association features will start next season.
"I feel this is currently the perfect opportunity," Lineker said of his choice. "I think [with] the following [highlights] contract, they're hoping to do Match of the Day somewhat in an unexpected way, so I think it's a good idea for another person to assume control."
In the wake of leaving Match of the Day, Lineker will remain with the BBC to front inclusion of next season's FA Cup and the 2026 men's Reality Cup.
Talking on his web recording The Rest Is Football, he said the current week's declaration was "essentially fresh insight about an additional year contract" for him at the BBC.
"I generally figured my next thing would be the end. I've been mulling over everything for quite a while. I've done Match of Day for quite some time. It's been an outright delight and an honor to present such a famous show for the BBC.
"In any case, all things need to reach a conclusion."
The beginning of the new privileges arrangement will give a proper opportunity to roll out an improvement on Match of the Day, he added.
"The [rights] cycle begins from next season, so it seemed like in the event that I simply do another year would a piece bizarre.
"So I remember to get an alternate moderator set up would be presumably savvy for me, yet positively for the BBC too.
"In any case, I truly needed to complete on a significant competition [and] do the FA Cup too. So you've not exactly disposed of me at this time."
Addressing co-has Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, he added that he will be 65 when his BBC work closes. "So it's benefits time."
Response 'a piece insane's
He said thanks to watchers for the messages he had gotten, and noticed that "so many kind" articles had been distributed.
"It seemed like I'd passed on and I was seeing my tribute early. In any case, it's great. It's been exquisite. Furthermore, wherever I go, individuals are expressing beautiful things.
"It's a piece like in football - Alan and myself, with Britain, you bowed out when you thought it was the perfect opportunity, I retired from my football profession when I felt it was the ideal opportunity. Furthermore, I feel this is currently the perfect opportunity."
The previous Britain striker kidded: "During my football vocation, I believed I was destined to be in the case. And afterward I needed to figure out how to truly be on the case. Furthermore, frankly, at my age, soon I'm in a case."
He said he would "most likely get somewhat profound towards the end" of his BBC vocation, yet at the same that he's "very quiet right now".
"It's been a piece crazy and a piece distraught," he proceeded. "Yet, I didn't figure it would be no joking matter that it was on the grounds that simply a person's done a Network program for quite a while. It's just that, as a matter of fact."
Lineker's replacement on Match of the Day has not been reported, and he said he would "never tell openly my inclination" to be the new host.
"Yet, whoever it is, I would agree, act naturally… Simply act naturally and appreciate it. It's a superb program to be essential for.
"It was splendid before I dominated and it will be splendid after I leave. So I would simply agree that that, truly - appreciate it, live it, and act naturally."
Lineker said he was presently anticipating getting to bed prior on a Saturday night.
"I'll go out for supper, and, guess what? I may be sleeping before 12 PM. I'll in any case watch Match of the Day, yet I'll be sleeping straight after it, as opposed to the three-hour venture home.
"No doubt I think back and it's been an astonishing encounter, and I feel unbelievably lucky."Gary Lineker has said it is "the ideal opportunity" for one more moderator to take on facilitating Match of the Day, as the BBC hopes to do the football program "somewhat in an unexpected way" later on.
