The 32nd matchday of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League was super exciting, with lots of action and surprising results happening all over the place!
At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak gave Accra Lions a tough time, winning the game 3-1. Enoch Asubonteng kicked things off by scoring early in the match. Later on, Kofi Asmah and Hamza Issah scored two more goals, helping Hearts of Oak win their second game in a row. Accra Lions did manage to score a cool long-range goal by Lawrence Setordjie, but he had to leave the game due to an injury shortly after.
Over at DUN’s Park, Bibiani GoldStars and Asante Kotoko played to a 0-0 tie. Even though no one scored, both teams are still in the race for the championship!
In a nail-biting match at the Tuba AstroTurf, Dreams FC, who were down to just 10 players, managed to pull off a surprising 1-0 victory against Berekum Chelsea. Joseph Esso scored a last-minute goal in the 98th minute, giving his team a much-needed win!
In Bechem, Bechem United and Basake Holy Stars ended their match in a 0-0 draw. It was a tough game, but neither team could find the back of the net.
Aduana FC had an amazing game at Nana Agyemang Badu Park, crushing Legon Cities 4-0. Gideon Boateng scored the first goal in the 39th minute, and then in the second half, Elvis Addo, Kelvin Obeng, and Aled Boakye all scored to make it a fantastic win for Aduana FC, who have won the league twice before!
At the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium, Nations FC took a big step toward winning their first league title by beating the current champions, FC Samartex 1996, 3-0. After a scoreless first half, Emmanuel Annor scored the first goal in the 61st minute, followed by Faisal Charwatey and Kelvin Ampofo, sealing a crucial victory.
Young Apostles kept their hopes of staying in the league alive with a strong 3-1 win over Heart of Lions at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Samuel Prempeh, Sakitey Foster, and Hussein Issah all scored within the first 20 minutes! Heart of Lions did get one goal back thanks to Seedorf Anane in the 33rd minute, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Edward Agyemang scored in the 7th minute, leading Vision FC to a narrow 1-0 win over Karela United. This win is super important for Vision FC as they try to avoid being sent down to a lower league.
Nations FC is now at the top of the league, getting closer to winning their first-ever Premier League title! Bibiani GoldStars, Asante Kotoko, and Heart of Lions are also in the top four spots.
