Global active apparel brand Puma has disclosed the Ghana national football team's home and away kits for the upcoming 2024/25 season, joining cultural legacy with strong design.
The home kit remains consistent with traditional with its famous white base, while the away unit includes a striking yellow design, reflecting the team's lively spirit.
"Four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners Ghana are famous in each sense, both in name and nature," Puma said in a statement on its site.
Both jerseys integrate remarkable examples roused by customary Adinkra images, with the home kit exhibiting a Black star at its middle — a sign of approval for Ghana's national emblem. The away kit features similar themes, underlining the country's rich cultural identity through its striking yellow plan.
The kits were created by Ghanaian designer Jefferson Osei in a joint effort with celebrated painter Daniel Alum Jasper. Together, they incorporated Adinkra symbols addressing solidarity, strength, and culture, intending to reflect Ghana's different tribal heritage.
Initially designed for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the kits' presentation might be in uncertainty, as Ghana's qualification remains in a precarious situation. With matches against Angola and Niger remaining, the team's destiny relies upon getting critical triumphs in the last qualifiers.
